Unplug Happ and open multiple sites. Check another app and, if possible, a second device on the same network. If Wi-Fi is not working for all devices, restore the network itself before continuing.
Reconnect to Wi-Fi and restart the router only if you have access to it and it won't disrupt other users. Do not perform a factory reset.
Repeat the test with the same recording
Use the same recording and mode that works over a mobile network. Record the exact symptom and time. If you change the server, DNS, or routing profile at the same time, the comparison is no longer clean.
If the Happ connects, but the entire Internet disappears, use the instructions About the loss of the Internet after connection.
Compare Other Wi-Fi Network
Connect to an independent Wi-Fi network and repeat the test. If Happ is running there, the problem is with the first network or its rules. Don't blame blocking without admin confirmation or a reproducible technical test.
Corporate, guest, and community networks may have their own policies. Do not attempt to circumvent the network owner's restrictions.
Check DNS
If the sites don't open by name, revert back to the last working DNS setup of the device and Happ. Do not change the DNS on your router and phone at the same time. First, test one level and keep the original value.
For more information, see the article "Happ doesn't have DNS working".
Check filters and parental controls
If you manage a router, check to see if device filtering, parental controls, guest isolation, or restrictions are enabled for your current phone. Do not open the ports or disable the protection entirely.
Make a backup copy of the settings or a screenshot before making the change. After each action, repeat one test and return the parameter if it did not affect the result.
Check Happ Mode
If the problem appears after changing the TUN, system proxy, or routing, return to the last operational mode. Feature availability varies by OS. Do not copy the desktop app settings to your phone.
To compare modes, there is a separate instruction about TUN and system proxy.
How to check the result
- Check Wi-Fi without Happ.
- Use the same record that works on a mobile network.
- Keep the exact symptom.
- Repeat the test on a different Wi-Fi network.
- Check DNS and filters one at a time.
- Return the changed parameters.
If it doesn't help
Prepare the device model, OS version and Happ, two tested Wi-Fi networks and the result via mobile Internet. Don't send your Wi-Fi password, router access settings, or personal link.
The reverse scenario is discussed in the article "Happ works over Wi-Fi, but not through a mobile network". To apply, use Support instructions.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to reset my router?
No. First, reconnect, compare the other Wi-Fi network, and check the reversible settings.
Why does mobile internet work?
This shows that the app and the recording may work in different conditions. Next, the specific Wi-Fi network is checked.
The public network does not work - what to do?
Use a different allowed network or contact its administrator. Do not try to circumvent the established rules.
